Jill was ALWAYS a FUN person.  We laughed alot in classes.  We dated a couple of times.  Most memorable was one of the dances at the gym..  We went to dinner at the Lamplighter on Foothill Drive.  The wait staff must have wondered about us, as we laughed all through dinner.  She was really fun to be around.  We had a GREAT conservation at the reunion.  She thoroughly enjoyed living and playing on the golf course in Henderson.  We talked about a round of golf, but Linda and I were never able to get out there.  Rest In PEACE, wonderful, fun LADY!!

Thanks, Bernie!!! Your message about going to Derks field brought a flood of GREAT MEMORIES! Back. My Granddad would “take me out to the ballpark” regularly!! Also listening to Bees games sitting on the front porch!! We drove by there when we were there for Don’s celebration of LIFE!! It’s really improved!! I still love 2-a ball @ Drillers games, and go to most afternoon games. Thanks again, GREAT FRIEND!!

Bernie, sorry if I touched a nerve! I thought you naming your son Jon was an awesome gesture, probably discussed with your Dad. Sorry to make an assumption that was apparently inaccurate!! I hope we’re OK!!

Larry was a great friend and fraternity brother ?? We reminisced at the previous reunion, prior to 50!!  He always wondered "WHY" anyone would leave SLC.  I had to break it to him that "love and $$" we're a great out of state draw!  REST IN PEACE, GOOD ?? BROTHER!!

Vic, I will keep you informed once we decide on some dates. September might be a better month because most everyone is retired. If not we will probably do it the first couple of weeks in August.

Pick dates & I,ll decide. With Swenson, Rich and Lerwell deceased, who will I play golf with. Will Barett be in attendance. Why fly to SLC just to see mates that didn't relate to us? Golf @ Bonneville and some restaurants may make the trip worthwhile! You all choose day& Month.

Shouldn't be my dates. You should find when most "locals" may or would like to attend, if they choose. If not enough would, dates don't matter. Find dates, and I /we will check air and availability. The best thing about retirement is flexibility and choice! Thanks, Vic

Steve, it's a possibility. Depends on airfare and the dates. Thanks, Vic

I was saddened to see that John had passed.  John, Bruce Barrett and I  played in theSwenson  reunion golf tourney, and had a GREAT DAY!!  We met up, again, at his house later in the week.  At Don Swensons memorial, Bruce mentioned that John was hospitalized, but didn't know details.  This has been a REALLY Sad petiod to lose such good and close friends, so close together.    REST IN PEACE, GOOD FRIEND!!

Cubans in Cuba , in a cool ride looks fun. How were accommodations? Still a communist country, and human rights violator. Some celebrate them, butt stupid is as stupid does. We'd like to visit under a different govt. We would like your feedback! VM

Incidentally, I had a minor in speech pathology. I'm glad to know that life is good for you, Vic. Michael

Vic, I had no idea that you weren't LDS...just assumed you were part of the EHS mainstream. It sounds like we may actually share some common childhood experiences, as I had a single mother and was raised by my grandmother and an uncle for during my teen years. It may not have been the most ideal circumstance, but, for the most part, I have good memories of that period. The point of my post was to encourage people to examine themselves--particularly in the raising of children--for those prejudices every parent teaches (we all do it inadvertently) that sometimes end up taking a very malicious twist in the next generation. Parents may or may not have the wisdom to understand that everyone who's different isn't bad, but children can easily misinterpret the signals that are constantly being sent out by mom and dad.
