My eldest son invited me with two of my grandsons (because my Mexico trip was delayed) to got to Boston to see Paul McCartney who is on tour. What an amazing performer. He sang for 2:45 minutes without a break except when he went out before his encore and at 80 what energy. He played three different pianos, four different kinds of guitar and a ukulele. It’s worth seeing him in person.
I will never catch up but I’m sure you all will understand: Happy birthday to those I missed. Looking forward to 2025 - it’s hard to believe that 80 will just be around the corner during our reunion.
It’s difficult to believe it won’t be long before we have our 60th year anniversary as a East High Leopard. In my opinion, next year is not too soon to begin planning for a reunion once again. Any thoughts?

I posted this on Facebook a few weeks ago, I thought you might like to know the news in my life now. I deleted my political comments but if you're interested, you can find them on my Facebook page. I commented on Russia, China, North Korea, Iran and Ukraine.
This will be one of my last political postings on social media since I have been called on a Service Mission for my Church: as a docent for the Church History Museum in Salt Lake City. Most of you know that I have been critical of politicians in general and specifically the far left and right. I agree with our church leader who said the following: “We've also learned fear, isolation and loss can be mitigated by immersing oneself in caring for other people,” he wrote. He noted “the road ahead may be bumpy, but our destination is serene and secure. So, fasten your seatbelt, hang on through the bumps, and do what's right.” There will be wars and rumors of war and natural phenomenon’s (harsh weather, earthquakes, and volcanic eruptions) that the world will be going through in the next few years so we surely do need to fasten our seatbelts and be ready for the bumpy ride.
I’m looking forward to my new assignment so that I can do my part in helping other people and if you are ever in Salt Lake City, I would love to take you on a tour.
Thanks Gordon, excellent comments: that is how I like remembering my time at East.
I agree with Laura, we all have imperfections, we’re just good at covering them up!
I was surprised like most of you were on Jim’s passing; I had spoken with him several times since our reunion last year and we were talking about our sixtieth. I had a chance to attend the service his family had for him on Saturday, and now I understand much better why he had such a dynamic assertive personality. He was that way his entire life, listening to what his children said about him was exciting to hear. I was surprised of his over-the-top love for the men and women in BLUE but that’s OK, I understand supporting the team where you live. It took my children many years to support the Jazz after living in the Seattle area for so many years.
I was able to speak with Barbara and she is taking this as well as could be expected. Jim will be able to RIP, even though he will be busy, as he meets many of our colleagues and the family members who have passed before him.
