Emily Johansen Pia Apking 1947 ~ 2009 "She tried but she died." (Dorothy Parker cynicism)I was born May 29, 1947 to Amy and Clarence Johansen. I died on March 29 of 2009. I'm survived by my incredibly beautiful family. My husband Robert Apking, my children, Sonia Pia and Nick Pia and grandsons, Taylor, Chance and Logan Pia. I'm going to be cremated and there will not be a service. If my family chooses to have a party, that's great, but if not, please give my family a call from time to time. They are going to miss me. Emily Johansen always reminded me of Ingrid Bergman or one of the other Scandinavian beauties in Hollywood and there she was sitting in our classes at old East High. Some of my husband's ancestors came from Norway and consequently, I hoped we would have children that might look something like Emily Johansen! Wasn't it fun to have her in our class?! I am sad that she is not here with us still.
