Wilford Orion Larsen was born January 15, 1947 in Salt Lake City, Utah in the waiting room of the LDS hospital. January 15 was his father's birthday and his parents wedding anniversary.

Wilford died in an accident on Saturday June 28, 1988 while enjoying his favorite past time which was fishing. He drowned in Utah Lake while trying to save another's life.

Wilford began attending high school at West High and then transferred to East. He married Carol Jean Langton in 1972 in Salt Lake City. They were sealed the following year on August 14, 1973 in the Salt Lake Temple. Wilford and Carol had five children. Carol passed away in 1985 before Wilford's death. Care of the children was left to their family. Wilford worked for the Salt Lake School district for many years as a janitor.
