1946 ~ 2016
Edmund Emerson Evans, age 69, of West Jordan, passed away peacefully on Sunday June 19, 2016, surrounded by the loving arms of his wife and children. Ed was born October 28, 1946 in SLC. He graduated from East High School in 1965 where he was on the track and wrestling team. After graduating, Ed served in the U.S Army during the Vietnam War. He married Christine Loader in 1971 and had 4 children of whom he adored. Ed had a great sense of humor, was always smiling, was a great friend and father, and will be greatly missed by many.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Marian Noelte Evans and Emerson Whipple Evans, his granddaughter Brooklynn Dani Evans, his mother and father in-law Beverly and John Loader and brother in-law Kendal Loader. He is survived by his wife Christine Loader Evans, 4 children, Dareth (Alan) Bryant, Brandon (Jenni) Evans, John (Jill) Evans, Sarah (Landon) Crist, 3 sisters, Elizabeth (Dr. Maruice) Hanson, Margaret (Rita Harrington) Evans, Katherine (Dr. Joel Papowitz) Evans, 11 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, 2 brother in-laws, Kane (Virginia) Loader and Kent (Jeanie) Loader and many nieces and nephews.
 

A viewing will be held on Monday, June 27th at 10 a.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. So. Temple followed by a graveside service at 11 AM at the SLC Cemetery. Per Ed's request, please no flowers.
