Geniel Crabtree (Dixon)

Geniel Crabtree Dixon,age 64,  Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Cousin and Friend passed away at her home in West Valley City on Sunday, September 11th,2011. She was born on March 21st, 1947 to the parents of Maxine and Eugene Crabtree in Salt Lake City,Utah. Geniel graduated from East High School in 1965.

She met and fell in love with John Dixon and they were married on May 6th, 1967, Celebrating being married for 44 years.

Geniel was a very kind and loving friend to all who knew her.She always found time to sent out cards and pictures to her friends and family.She was good at remembering everyone's Birthdays,or just to stay in touch.Geniel was always there with a phone call and a listening ear,and showed genuine concern and support to all she met along lifes way.We her friends and family will miss her dearly.Geniel was very proud of her children and Grandchildren,who were the light of her life.Geniel and John taught us what courage was all about when their twins Maxine and Eugene were diagnosed with a genetic desease and they only lived to 3 and 4 years of age.The dedication,love and care they gave the twins will always remain a constant reminder of what family is all about.

Geniel is survived by her husband John,her son Jayson(Yvonne) Dixon of Herriman,her daughter Crystal(Brian)Gull of Taylorsville,and four very much loved Grandchildren,Jorey and Cheylin Dixon,Cyrus and Brandon Gull.She is also survived by two brothers,Stephen(Annette) and Lamont(Leslie)Crabtree. She was preceeded in death by her sweet twins,Maxine and Eugene Dixon.Her parents,Eugene and Maxine Crabtree.

A viewing was held on Friday,September 16th,2011 from 6-8 PM,at Larkin Sunset Gardens 1950 East 10600 South in Sandy,Utah.Funeral Services took place the following day,Saturday the 17th at 11:00 am,with a viewing one hour prior to the service at the Mortuary.Burial took place in the Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery following the services.
