William Bent Obituary

CHESTERFIELD, VA - William Norman "Bill" Bent, 70, formerly of Newport News, VA, passed away on August 26, 2017. Born on October 17, 1946 in Missoula, Montana, he is preceded in death by his parents Norman Schofield Bent and Eleanor Henderson Clark Bent. He is survived by his wife Kyong Cha "Lee" Bent, who was born in Seoul, Korea; his daughter, Jennifer Lee Bent (Sean Eric) Walle, born in Newport News, Virginia; granddaughter Autumn Ember Walle of Amelia, Virginia; brother Robert George (Carol King) Bent of Layton, Utah; sister Rebecca Clare Bent (Jerry Welsh) of Eugene, Oregon; niece, Christina B. Welsh of Seattle, Washington; and nephew Martin W. J. Welsh of Eugene, Oregon. After a 20-year Army career, he was a quality assurance manager in Newport News, Virginia. He retired in March 2017 and moved to Chesterfield, VA. He has chosen to donate his body to science.
