My memories of Dave Campbell were of his hilarious notes he passed to me in our French class. He was one of the funniest people you could ever meet. We would always speak French to each other without the French accent and neither one of us understood a word we were saying. I heard he went to Highland High for his senior year but I am not sure. I would run into Dave and his best friend Rick Preece ( 1 yr. older) and Dave would immediately start speaking our "French"! He & Rick died in a plane crash in the early '70's ??? As they were returning from a golf tournament. Whenever I hear someone mispronounce French I always think of Dave.
